Groom Stunned to Learn his Wife is Actually a Man just 12 Days After Their Wedding

A man, who met his bride online the previous year and married her in April without any physical intimacy, was shocked to discover that she was actually a man just 12 days after their wedding. A photo from their Indonesian wedding showed the couple in a joyful moment, appearing to embody marital bliss.

However, the groom, identified only as AK from Java, experienced a startling revelation about his spouse, whom he believed to be Adinda Kanza, less than two weeks after their ceremony.

The South China Morning Post reported that Adinda consistently wore a traditional Muslim niqab at home, which her husband took as a sign of her religious devotion.

However, suspicions arose when she repeatedly rejected his romantic advances. Though he had been told she was an orphan, he contacted her family and was surprised to learn her parents were alive. This led to the revelation that his spouse, known as Adinda but identified by the media as ESH, was actually a man who had been cross-dressing since 2000.

ESH admitted to authorities that the marriage was a scheme to defraud AK’s family of their assets. Bringing five grams of gold as a dowry, ESH has been arrested on fraud charges and faces up to four years in prison.

Investigators noted that during questioning, ESH’s voice was unusually high-pitched, resembling a woman’s.

The incident has gained widespread attention on Chinese social media, going viral and leaving many astonished. A user quoted by the South China Morning Post expressed disbelief, saying, “What kind of news is this? It’s shattering my worldview.”

Another user commented on the severity of the situation, stating, “Poor AK, he has endured the harrowing experience of being misled in a relationship with a cross-dresser for over a year, resulting in the loss of both his marriage and finances.”
