Lagos State Government Shuts Down Residential Building Lacking Toilets

The Lagos State Wastewater Management Office (LSWMO), demonstrating its ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability, proper sanitation, and public health safety, has sealed a residential property on Adedosu Street, Otubu, Agege after a complaint from concerned residents. The bungalow, which has over 10 rooms, lacks sanitary toilet facilities and instead has rundown pit latrines filled with exposed fecal matter.

Engr Adefemi Afolabi, the General Manager of LSWMO, who led the compliance team to the site, emphasized that the Lagos State Government is determined to prevent another cholera outbreak. He urged residents to adopt proper sanitation and hygiene practices to promote public health and environmental sustainability.
