Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has suggested that Nigerians should respect the decision of twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye of the now-defunct music duo P-Square to remain apart if that is their choice. His remarks come amidst the ongoing feud between the brothers.
Recently, Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, announced that P-Square had split again, just three years after their reunion. He revealed that he was arrested by the EFCC after his twin brother allegedly filed a petition concerning his lifestyle. During the interrogation, Paul was threatened with a 20-year prison sentence, with his account statements presented as evidence.
In response, Peter Okoye denied ever filing a petition against Paul but admitted he did report their older brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, and his wife, Ifeoma. Peter claimed that he uncovered “millions of dollars and hundreds of millions of Naira” being diverted to a secret company, Northside Music, allegedly owned by Jude and his wife. He further stated that Jude admitted to diverting funds during questioning.
As these revelations continue to unfold, many Nigerians, including Peter Obi, have urged the twins to reconcile. However, on August 15, Yul Edochie commented that sometimes finding peace of mind requires distancing oneself from certain loved ones.
