Woman’s B*dy Recovered from Shark’s Belly During Vacation

An American tourist, Colleen Monfore, 68, from South Dakota, was trag!cally k!lled by a shark during what was meant to be a dream diving vacation with friends in Indonesia.

According to The Sun, her body was discovered inside the shark’s stomach after she was swept out to sea by powerful currents. Monfore was diving near Pulau Reong island with six friends when she was pulled away, and the boat’s guide was unable to rescue her.

On Sunday, a fisherman in East Timor caught the shark and remarked, “The shark was caught but it was not in normal health. I thought it had swallowed plastic or a fishing net. It was cut open to find the problem, and inside there were the remains of a woman.”

Local authorities confirmed that the body was recovered while wearing a black wetsuit.

A graph!c photo from the scene shows the shark cut open, with presumed human remains visible in the background.

An investigation is currently underway, and officials have clarified that East Timor, also known as Timor-Leste, is not part of Indonesian territory.
