Popular Chicago rapper Lil Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, was recently arrested in South Florida on charges related to a m*rder-for-hire plot. He is currently being held without bond in Broward County Jail.
The arrest is connected to an extensive federal investigation that accuses him of involvement in a murder-for-hire scheme. According to police records, Durk is awaiting transfer to the custody of U.S. Marshals, indicating that federal authorities will be taking over the case.
The investigation centers around the 2022 m*rder of Saviay’a Robinson (known as Lul Pab), who was a cousin of rapper Quando Rondo, in Los Angeles. Authorities believe members of Durk’s OTF (Only the Family) collective were involved in the crime.
An indictment filed in the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles lists five additional Chicago associates—Kavon London Grant, Deandre Dontrell Wilson, Keith Jones, David Brian Lindsey, and Asa Houston—also allegedly linked to OTF and arrested alongside Lil Durk.
These individuals are facing charges of conspiracy to commit m*rder-for-hire, murder-for-hire resulting in death, and use of a machine g*n in a v!olent crime causing death.
Prosecutors allege that resources from Lil Durk’s OTF collective were used to support these actions, providing evidence such as flights and rental car bookings reportedly charged to a credit card connected to the OTF label. They also claim that OTF offered “promising music opportunities” to anyone willing to target Quando Rondo.
