“Prisoner Carries Out Shocking Escape by Drvgging Twin Brother During Visit”

In Peru, an inmate escaped from prison by drvgging his twin brother during a visit, creating one of the most remarkable prison break stories. Alexander Delgado Herrera, imprisoned for child s*xual abvse and burglary, made his escape in January 2017. On January 10, 2017, his twin brother, Giancarlo Stuard Delgado, visited him at Piedras Gordas prison.

The brothers met in the common area before moving to Alexander’s cell, where Alexander reportedly offered Giancarlo a soda. Unaware of the scheme, Giancarlo drank it, soon passed out, and later woke up surrounded by guards.

Giancarlo told authorities that his brother had drvgged him, but due to their identical appearances, officials initially doubted his story, suspecting that Giancarlo might actually be Alexander and considering forcing him to serve the remainder of the prison sentence.

Alexander had served only two years of a 16-year sentence at the time. Eventually, fingerprint checks confirmed that Giancarlo was innocent. Though there was speculation that he may have assisted in the escape, he was not charged and was later released.

Surveillance footage revealed that Alexander had walked out of the prison, passing six security checkpoints without raising suspicion. The incident led to the dismissal of the prison director and several guards.

Alexander evaded capture for over a year, but in February 2018, he was found in the coastal city of Callao. When authorities approached, Alexander tried to escape but was quickly arrested. After his capture, he explained that he had fled because he was ‘desperate to see his mother.’
