The South African Police have initiated a manhunt for Pethe Sara Simiao, a Mozambican national, who is accused of r*ping and k*lling a six-year-old girl in Soweto.
The incident occurred in the Orlando East area of Soweto on Monday, October 21, 2024.
Reports indicate that the girl was playing with other children when the suspect lured her to his rented shack in one of the houses in Orlando.
Inside the shack, the suspect allegedly r*ped and m*rdered the child.
The incident was reported to the police, who have begun searching for the suspect, who is currently at large.
Police are requesting assistance from the community in locating Simiao, as he is wanted for questioning in the investigation.
