An urgent manhunt has been initiated following an attempted abduction of a baby girl on a train in Nottinghamshire, UK.
The incident occurred as the train was approaching Worksop station. A man reportedly snatched the baby girl from her mother’s arms and “took off down the carriage,” according to detectives. Fortunately, a relative managed to reclaim the baby before the suspect could escape.
The attempted abduction took place around 7:30 PM on Saturday, August 17, while the mother was preparing to disembark with her child.
The unidentified man, referred to as a “stranger” by British Transport Police, exited the train at Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Detectives have since released CCTV footage of a man they believe may assist in the investigation. In the footage, he is seen wearing a red polo t-shirt and has light brown hair.
