Fans of Keanu Reeves were left amazed when the Canadian actor revealed his real age during a live TV appearance. Known for his celebrated career spanning 40 years in franchises like The Matrix and John Wick, Reeves surprised audiences on a UK chat show by sharing his age. Appearing on BBC One’s The One Show on October 23, he spoke with hosts Alex Jones and Gabby Logan.
Joined by author China Miéville, Reeves discussed adapting his and Matt Kindt’s comic book BRZRKR into a novel titled The Book of Elsewhere. He also reflected on memorable career moments, including a recent reunion with Speed co-star Sandra Bullock nearly 30 years later.
When talking about milestones, Reeves stated, “Well, I’ve turned 60 this year,” which prompted an astonished reaction from Alex, who replied, “Did you? You cannot be 60.” Reeves confirmed, “Yes, I am 60 years old,” leaving Alex momentarily speechless.
The reveal sent fans online into a frenzy. One fan posted, “Keanu Reeves is 60! He looks about 20 years younger than me, and I’m 10 years younger than him. Incredible!” Another commented, “Sorry, Keanu Reeves is 60!!!!! He looks amazing for his age and seems like the nicest guy.”
Others echoed the sentiment, with one noting, “Keanu Reeves looks incredible at 60 years old! Such a kind and humble human being.” Another fan shared, “Whenever I feel old, I look at the divine Keanu. We’re the same age (‘64 babies) and younger than Pitt, Clooney, Depp, and Cruise. Age is just a number, and Keanu and I are really cool despite being 60.”
Reeves recently celebrated his 60th birthday on September 2, making him younger than several of his Hollywood peers. Brad Pitt, currently 60, turns 61 on December 18; George Clooney turned 63 in May; Johnny Depp marked 61 in June; and Tom Cruise celebrated his 62nd birthday in July.
