Kaduna Man Sues Niece and Sister-in-Law for Intimidating His Wife

On Monday, September 30th, Shehu Usman brought a case against his niece, Hauwa’u Muhammad, and sister-in-law, Jamila Kasim, in a Shari’a court in Magajin Gari, Kaduna State, alleging that they intimidated his wife.

The charges against the defendants include insult, intimidation, and trespass.

Mr. Usman, a resident of the Unguwan Shanu area of Kaduna, claimed that the two women entered his wife’s room, insulted her, and threatened physical harm.

He requested the court to ensure justice is served.

The defendants, both married women, pleaded not guilty to the allegations.

Judge Anas Khalifa granted them bail, requiring that they provide a community leader from their area as surety.

Khalifa also instructed the complainant to present witnesses for the prosecution on October 16.
