A captivating video has surfaced online, showcasing two enigmatic figures silhouetted on a hilltop. The recording took place on the Brazilian island of Ilha do Mel, situated approximately 285 miles south of São Paulo in Paraná State.
The video captures two figures, purportedly standing at a height of ’10ft,’ atop the cliffside, their silhouettes outlined against the sky. These tall and slender figures are challenging to discern clearly. The footage has ignited speculation on social media, with many suggesting these beings could be extraterrestrial visitors. One observer remarked, “It’s a really strange figure. It has strange arm movements. I believe it. We are not the only inhabitants of this universe.”
However, some remained skeptical, with one person commenting, “How come all these aliens are p**s poor resolution? So we can’t see the sticks holding them up?”
Another observer suggested, “Looking closely at the images, it’s a real person. It looks like this person had binoculars or a camera. It’s a T-shirt tied around his head.” A local named Marcio humorously remarked, “Wow, Peter Crouch might not be able to go camping anymore.”
Footballer Peter Crouch, renowned for his height, humorously joined in, stating: “We were on a family holiday pls respect our privacy at this time.” The Paraná State government took a lighthearted approach, using the sighting to promote tourism. A spokesperson quipped, “Our summer is from another world. Even strange beings come here to enjoy our coastline.” The video, originally shared on Instagram, clarified that the tall figures were indeed people, albeit taller than most, descending a mountain.
This isn’t the first time reports of aliens in Brazil have surfaced, with notable incidents like the Varginha UFO incident in 1996. However, skeptics, including UFO expert Nick Pope, question the credibility of this recent sighting on Ilha do Mel. Pope, speaking to Metro on January 9, dismissed the story as “truly bizarre,” emphasizing the lack of credible evidence and suggesting it might be a police response to reports of youth altercation. Others joined in, noting the common issue of blurry footage in such sightings, with one person quipping, “Why whenever these videos get put out, they look like they were filmed on a blackberry.”
