Former Real Madrid player Vinicius Tobias, who recently got his daughter’s name tattooed on his arm, has discovered that he is not the child’s biological father. The 20-year-old Brazilian right-back, now with Shakhtar Donetsk, and his ex-girlfriend Ingrid Lima welcomed their daughter, Maite, on October 8, 2024. In celebration of her birth, Tobias had the phrase “Maite, I love you” inked on his arm.
However, according to The Sun UK, Ingrid, an influencer, revealed that their relationship was on-and-off around the time Maite was conceived. She confirmed that a DNA test showed Tobias is not Maite’s biological father.
Ingrid reportedly addressed the issue on social media, saying: “I’m here to clarify something that’s becoming a problem and needed to be explained publicly. Vinicius and I had already split up. During that time, both of us were seeing other people.
“We moved on with our lives, and Maite was born during that period. We decided to take a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius’ daughter.
“I ask that people stop criticizing him. I requested that he not attend the birth or post about Maite until the DNA results were confirmed. Vinicius and I have had a mature conversation and reached a mutual understanding.”
Earlier in 2024, Tobias had a short loan stint at Real Madrid, making only one appearance for the senior team before returning to Shakhtar Donetsk. Tobias has yet to comment publicly on the DNA test results.
