“Australian Senator Posts Behe*ded K!ng Charles Photo After Accusing Him of Genoc!de”

A senator shared a cartoon of a decap!tated King Charles after yelling “you are not my king” during his visit to Australia. Lidia Thorpe interrupted the monarch’s welcome in Canberra, accusing colonialists of committing “genoc!de.” She later posted an Instagram cartoon by Matt Chun, co-editor of The Sunday Paper, showing the King’s sev*red head next to a crown.

During King Charles’ welcome, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese hinted at a possible shift towards becoming a republic, telling the King, “Nothing stands still.” The royal tour has faced small protests, with banners calling for “decolonisation” displayed at several events.

Thorpe’s protest could be seen as an embarrassment for King Charles on his first visit to Australia as monarch. Following his speech at Parliament House, Thorpe, draped in a possum skin coat and holding a traditional message stick, loudly declared, “You are not our King, you are not sovereign … you have committed genocide against our people. Return our land, what you stole from us … our babies, our people, our land.”

As she was escorted out, she continued shouting, “We want a treaty with this country … This is not your land, you are not our King.”
