Eligibility Criteria
The following requirements must be met to apply for the Asian Development Bank – Japan Scholarship Program:
Language Requirement: English
Eligible Countries: Open to citizens of ADB’s borrowing member countries (applicants from countries no longer borrowing from ADB are not eligible).
Qualification: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent with an excellent academic record.
Admission: Must have secured admission to an approved Master’s or PhD program at a recognized academic institution.
Work Experience: At least two years of full-time professional experience gained after completing a university degree at the time of application.
English Proficiency: Strong oral and written English skills necessary to undertake studies.
Health: Must be in good health.
Age Limit: Applicants must be 35 years old or younger at the time of application; exceptions apply for senior officials and managers with an age limit of 45 years.
Commitment: Must agree to return to their home country upon completing the program.
