Singer Speed Darlington has teased a snippet of his upcoming song “Baby Oil” shortly after being released from police custody. His arrest came in response to a defamation petition filed by fellow artist Burna Boy.
The controversy stems from a video in which Darlington questioned the legitimacy of Burna Boy’s 2020 Grammy win for his album Twice As Tall, which was executive produced by American music star Diddy and Burna Boy’s mother, Bose Ogulu.
In the video, Darlington remarked, “Not long after Burna Boy posted a picture with Diddy, he won the Grammy. I’m just curious, Burna Boy. No offense, but how much oil did Diddy drop on you before you got the trophy? Burna Boy, be honest.”
