Kanayo O. Kanayo criticized men who are financially dependent on their wives and warned women against overworking themselves to make up for their husbands’ lack of effort, which can lead to the husbands becoming lazy.
He pointed out that women often protect their husbands to keep their domestic issues private but stressed that a man’s primary responsibility is to provide for his family. He described the trend of men relying on women as “disturbing, useless, and *angerous.”
“A man who cannot feed his family has no need or reason to engage with a woman,” he asserted.
He cautioned young women to be mindful of their choice in partners, emphasizing that while love is important, financial provision is crucial. “You prioritize love, saying, ‘I love him, I love him.’ But if he doesn’t provide meals and support, you might start getting attention from other men,” he explained.
Kanayo advised that while it’s fine for women to support their husbands, they should avoid enabling their husbands to become complacent and irresponsible.
In his post, he stated, “Women, protect your husbands BUT DO NOT provide them with the kind of shelter that leads to irresponsibility. Many husbands neglect their duties when their wives are the primary earners. I AM A WITNESS.”
He reiterated that “a man who cannot feed his family has no need or reason to engage with a woman,” cautioning that many men become lazy because of their hardworking wives.
