Police Arrest 29-Year-Old Suspected K!dnapper, R*pist, and Serial K!ller in Ogun

The Ogun State police have apprehended a 29-year-old man, Ogunnaike Phillips, suspected of being a k!dnapper, rap!st, and serial k!ller.

Phillips, believed to be a member of the Aye confraternity, was arrested in connection with the m*rder of 17-year-old Habeebah Akinsanya, who was r*ped and br*tally k!lled with a machete at her father’s farm near Mile 6, close to Ogun State Television, in September.

Confirming the arrest, State Commissioner of Police Abiodun Alamutu stated that Phillips, a native of Ayepe Ijebu residing in Abeokuta, confessed to k!lling three other underage g!rls in a similar manner and burying their bodies in remote locations.

On Friday, Phillips led the commissioner and his team to various sites in Asero Estate, Itori in Ewekoro, and Mile 6 along Ajebo Road in Obafemi Owode local government, where he buried his victims. The other identified victims are 22-year-old Abigail Dina and 23-year-old Mary Ogunyemi.

According to the commissioner, Phillips and his accomplice, Danjuma, who remains at large, lured victims to isolated areas, confiscated their phones, demanded ransom from their families, and ultimately killed them.

In a statement to the press, the suspect expressed a desire for the death penalty, claiming his accomplice drew him into the criminal activities. “I don’t want the government to do anything for me. Me and Danjuma, along with those cult members, should just be killed if they catch us. They led me to these terrible things,” he said.

Commissioner Alamutu expressed concern over the rising number of missing persons and youth-related crimes, assuring that an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend other gang members. He vowed to bring Phillips to justice as the families of the victims seek accountability for their tragic losses.
