A family friend, Faye Tohiti, told NBC 4 that she “can’t even imagine how the mother feels right now,” and added, “she must be devastated.”

“They’re good people. They just didn’t pay attention to what they should’ve paid attention to, which is really a trag*dy,” Tohidi told ABC 7. “It’s really sad.”

“I’m a dog person myself, and I have a dog at home, but you shouldn’t bring your infant into an environment with so many big dogs. It was wrong from the start,” she said.
