Popular TikTok Star Named Person of Interest in Death of Therapist Found Wrapped in Tarp on Highway

Terryon Ishmael Thomas, a well-known TikTok personality, has been identified as a person of interest in the death of 69-year-old therapist William Nicholas Abraham. Abraham’s body was found on Saturday, September 28, wrapped in a tarp on a highway near Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Thomas, 20, known on TikTok as Mr. Prada, was arrested in Dallas on Tuesday, October 1, following a brief manhunt. Authorities had been searching for him after he was spotted driving Abraham’s car. When law enforcement attempted to stop him, Thomas reversed into a police cruiser and fled on foot. He was later seen on surveillance footage at a nearby store.

Investigators believe Thomas was the last person to see Abraham alive, though the exact nature of their relationship and the motive for the crime remain unclear. According to Tangipahoa Sheriff Gerald Sticker, Abraham died from blunt force trauma in what appeared to be a “very physical and violent attack.”

No weapons were recovered at the scene, and a search of Abraham’s East Baton Rouge home revealed no signs of a struggle. Investigators are still working to determine where and how the fatal encounter occurred, with Sheriff Sticker stating that Abraham was likely killed on Saturday night.

Abraham’s brother, Tommy, expressed his grief and desire for answers. “I want to know who did it, and I want to know why,” he said, adding, “No one should take a life but God.”

Abraham, a well-known figure in Baton Rouge, had hosted a local television show and served as a Catholic priest for 14 years before becoming a therapist. He specialized in life coaching and mental health counseling, particularly within the LGBTQ community, focusing on issues like substance abuse, anxiety, and depression.

His attorney, Jarret Ambeau, described Abraham as a kind and gentle man dedicated to helping others. “I’m absolutely devastated that something like this could happen to someone with such a service heart.”

Although Abraham was arrested in 2015 for allegations of inappropriate conduct with an 11-year-old boy during a therapy session, he was never charged. The boy’s identity remains unknown, and attorney Ambeau confirmed that Thomas is not connected to that case.

Thomas, who has 4 million followers on TikTok, has spoken openly about his struggles with mental health. In recent videos, he mentioned his bipolar disorder and exhibited erratic behavior, including shaving patches of his head and expressing emotional distress over a breakup.

Thomas is scheduled to appear before a judge in Dallas to determine if he will be extradited to Louisiana, where he faces charges of aggravated criminal damage to property, resisting an officer, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
