The long-standing question of whether extraterrestrial beings have visited Earth has finally received an answer from the U.S. Government. During a press conference on October 17, Major General Pat Ryder addressed various topics, including international conflicts. Amid these discussions, journalist Jeff Schogol from Task & Purpose humorously took the opportunity to ask about the existence of UFOs and extraterrestrial visitors.
Ryder, referencing the popular sci-fi series The X-Files, responded by saying, “The truth is out there,” but confirmed, “We have no evidence to indicate extraterrestrial life has visited the planet.”
This statement aligns with the findings of the Department of Defense’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which was established in 2022 to investigate UFO sightings. The office’s report concluded that none of the unexplained phenomena could be attributed to off-world technology and that many supposed UFO sightings were actually related to sensitive national security programs. The report also stated that there was no evidence of any U.S. Government programs reverse-engineering alien technology.
