A man has been granted permission to visit his girlfriend in a Brazilian prison, where she is serving time for severing his pen!s after he cheated on her with her 15-year-old niece.

In December 2023, Daiane Farias, 34, attacked her boyfriend, Gilberto de Oliveira, 40, after discovering him in bed with her niece.

Gilberto had planned to settle down with Daiane when he betrayed her trust.

On September 14, a court in Campinas, São Paulo, ruled that Gilberto could visit Daiane in mid-October, as reported by Brazilian news outlet O Globo. However, Judge Giuliana Herculian banned any intimate contact during the visit, citing concerns that Gilberto could harm Daiane, the mother of his daughter.

The visit will take place in a room separated by a glass wall, preventing any physical contact. Daiane expressed her frustration over the judge’s decision, stating, “I don’t think it’s fair not to have the right to make love.”

Gilberto viewed the court’s ruling as just another challenge for the couple to overcome, writing to Daiane, “My love for you is greater than anything. It goes beyond the infinite.”

Daiane, a mother of three, committed the act of revenge on December 22, 2023, just ten days after catching Gilberto with her niece. She restrained his hands to the bed and used a razor to sever his penis, later taking a photo of the severed organ and sharing it with family members before disposing of it.

In a February interview with O Globo, Gilberto initially called Daiane a “cr!minal” and said she deserved her punishment. However, by April, he had a change of heart and announced they were back together, acknowledging that his actions had led to the tragic incident.

“If I hadn’t slept with her niece on my partner’s birthday, none of this would have happened,” he said, adding that she was “a wonderful, loving woman who didn’t deserve to be betrayed.”

Daiane was initially facing a 50-year sentence for attempted m*rder but was sentenced to four years and eight months in May.
