A YouTuber recently shared his frustration after a disappointing experience ordering an electric sports car from China, only to receive something entirely unexpected. Known as The Inja, the content creator, who focuses on vehicles like cars and bikes, found himself let down when the EV sports car he ordered didn’t match his expectations.
The YouTuber thought he had purchased a Qiantu K50, an electric car made by Qiantu Motor that ceased production in 2020 after fewer than 200 units were sold. However, when the car arrived, it was nothing close to the anticipated model. Instead, he received a much smaller, pink vehicle that left him “speechless.” Describing his frustration in a 2020 video, he said, “It is a pink fun v humvee or whatever the frick this is. Words cannot describe the anger and the frustration I feel right now. I am speechless, complete scam.”
He and a friend tested the car’s roadworthiness after unboxing it, but it turned out to be extremely slow and bore what seemed to be fake Lexus logos on the steering wheel.
In a follow-up video, the YouTuber mentioned that he eventually secured a partial refund, though it was a challenging process. He explained in the video’s caption that the seller only agreed to refund him under specific conditions, demanding that the funds be sent through PayPal or a Chinese bank, which he suspected was part of a “scam script.” He also advised viewers to be cautious when purchasing internationally.
In a later update, he revealed that the seller required him to make his previous videos private before refunding him “$29,000 of the $31,000 I’d sent them,” making the ordeal even more frustrating.
