Eligibility Criteria for the Macquarie University Scholarship
To be eligible for the Macquarie University Scholarship, applicants must meet these criteria:
- Language Requirement: English
- Eligible Countries: All countries worldwide, excluding Australia and New Zealand
- Must satisfy the academic and English proficiency requirements for a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate Coursework Degree at Macquarie University.
- Must have a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) equivalent of 65 for Postgraduate applications or a minimum ATAR equivalent of 85 for Undergraduate applications.
- Must be accepted into a Macquarie University Bachelor’s or Postgraduate Coursework Degree starting in 2025 or 2026.
- Must enroll and commence studies as indicated in the Letter of Offer, with no deferral allowed.
- Must maintain full-time enrollment, defined as completing 8 standard units per academic year.
- Must adhere to the University’s Academic Progression Policy.
- This scholarship is applicable only to on-campus study.
- Students who have received any other Macquarie University scholarship are ineligible.
- Not eligible if currently enrolled or have applied to Macquarie University International College.
- Students who are citizens of Australia or New Zealand, or hold Australian permanent residency are not eligible.
- If you withdraw from the program before completion, you may need to repay any scholarship funds received, as determined by the Scholarships and Grants Committee.

- Complete the online course application form. After processing, you will receive a Macquarie University Student Number, which is required for the scholarship application.
