Jack Grealish Welcomes First Child as England Star and Girlfriend Announce Baby’s Birth

Jack Grealish and his girlfriend, Sasha Attwood, are celebrating the arrival of their first child. The Manchester City star, 29, took to social media to announce the birth of their daughter with a black-and-white photo showing him holding his newborn’s hand. He captioned the post: “Mila Rose Grealish 27/09/24.”

Sasha Attwood, 28, shared the same photo on her Instagram, calling it “the most special moment of my life.”

The couple’s relationship began during their teenage years while attending school in Solihull. Attwood has stood by Grealish throughout his football career, from his debut with Aston Villa in 2014 to his high-profile move to Manchester City in 2021.

As a versatile attacking midfielder, now playing in a left-forward role, Grealish has won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a Champions League trophy, and an EFL Cup with City. Despite these successes, he faced personal disappointment when England manager Gareth Southgate left him out of the Euro 2024 squad, a decision that left him “heartbroken” after England’s 2-1 loss to Spain in the final.

Reflecting on the omission during a pre-season press conference, Grealish admitted: “It was the hardest thing I’ve ever dealt with in my career. I was absolutely heartbroken. But moving forward, I have to use that as motivation for this season. I felt I deserved to be in the [England] squad because I bring something different. But it is what it is.”

Following Southgate’s departure, Grealish was reinstated to the England squad. After scoring on his return in September, he said: “I need to start playing regularly and scoring goals, and that’s what I did today. I’m still not 100 percent fit, but I’m getting there. Hearing the fans cheer my name at the end meant everything.”

He added, “There’s no better feeling than playing for England, especially in these big games. The summer was one of the toughest times of my life, but it’s given me even more resolve to bounce back.”
