Gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, have abducted a pregnant woman in Cross River State. The incident occurred in the Eseku Community, Creek Town, located in Odukpani Local Government Area.
Sources told CrossRiverWatch on Saturday that the kidnappers had originally targeted her husband, who managed to escape. Unable to capture him, they took his wife instead, sparking fear throughout the community.
According to reports, the abductors accessed the area via the waterways at Esuk Ansa and then traveled by land, covering about four kilometers to reach Eseku.
The kidnappers have since contacted the victim’s family, demanding a ransom of N15 million for her release.
