A drunken man found himself in a dangerous predicament after picking a fight with a python on his way home from the pub—and losing badly.
The local fire department had to step in to save him from the snake’s deadly grip. According to authorities, the man was too intoxicated to explain how he ended up entangled with the python.
His friends recounted that while walking home, the man encountered the 6.6-foot-long snake. Fueled by alcohol and feeling bold, he decided to provoke the reptile in front of his friends. However, the python quickly overpowered him, wrapping itself tightly around his body, leaving his friends no choice but to call for help.
Firefighters arrived in Huizhou, north of Hong Kong, just in time to rescue him. Using catch poles, they managed to subdue the python and loosen its grip before it could cause serious harm.
Footage captured the man struggling on the ground as the snake coiled tighter around him. Firefighters are later seen securing the python in a sack.
Despite the incident, the man refused to go to the hospital for evaluation and left the scene with his friends. The following day, they released the python back into the wild in a secluded area.
