Doctor Explains Why the Average British P*n!s Size Has ‘Increased by Nearly 10% in Two Years’

A medical professional has provided insight into the nearly 10 percent increase in average pen!s size across the UK since 2022. This surprising statistic has sparked curiosity about the underlying causes. Two years ago, the average erect size was 5.17 inches, but by 2024, it has risen to 5.63 inches, reflecting an 8.9 percent increase.

This growth positions the UK eighth for the increase in average size, although it ranks 60th globally in terms of overall size. In comparison, Venezuela experienced a more significant increase of 1.42 inches, raising their average erect size to 6.67 inches.

To understand these variations, Dr. Chun Tang, medical director at Pall Mall Medical, spoke to Metro about changes in male anatomy worldwide. He explained that “over long periods, human anatomy can evolve due to evolutionary pressures.” Traits that are perceived as advantageous for reproduction or sexual selection may become more prevalent, potentially contributing to larger average sizes.

Dr. Tang also pointed out that increased diversity from population mixing due to immigration might play a role in these changes. Additionally, better health and nutrition during childhood and adolescence contribute to overall physical development, including genital growth. Enhanced exercise and fitness levels also support better endocrine function, which is vital for growth and reproductive health.

He noted, “Levels of testosterone during puberty significantly influence the development of secondary s*xual characteristics, including penis size.”

It’s important to consider that some of the collected data were self-reported, which could result in inaccuracies as individuals might exaggerate their sizes. Concerns about size can lead to what is sometimes referred to as ‘dickmorphia’—a colloquial term for penile dysmorphic disorder or small penis anxiety—where individuals become overly fixated on their size.

A 2013 study found that only one-third of men were satisfied with their size. However, evidence suggests that size is not the most crucial factor in s*xual health and satisfaction.
