Court Orders Remand of Man and Two Accomplices for K!dnapping His 4-Year-Old Cousin in Kano

A magistrates’ court in Gayadi Gyadi, Kumbotso LGA, has ordered the remand of three youths in a correctional facility for the kidnapping of a 4-year-old boy.

The accused—Hizbullah Salisu, Aliyu Abubakar, and Hassan Aliyu—are alleged to have abducted Muhammad Nasir and initially demanded a ransom of N10 million, but ultimately settled for N300,000 after negotiations.

Salisu, who is the victim’s cousin, is accused of orchestrating the kidnapping.

The trio was apprehended by police in the state on September 7, 2024.

They face charges of conspiracy, criminal offenses, and kidnapping.

All three pleaded not guilty, and Magistrate Rakiya Lami Sani ordered their remand in a correctional center until October 30 for re-arraignment.
