Actress Halima Abubakar Publicly Apologizes to Apostle Johnson Suleiman for False Allegations

Actress Halima Abubakar has issued a public apology to Apostle Johnson Suleiman for defamation and spreading false information about him.

In her apology, Halima admitted to spreading “falsehoods and lies” about Suleiman, expressing deep regret for the distress her statements caused him, his family, and his church. She acknowledged the harm of her actions and apologized sincerely for their impact.

This apology follows a Federal Capital Territory High Court ruling six months earlier that ordered Abubakar to pay N10 million in damages to Suleiman for defamatory comments she posted on Instagram, accusing him of various misdeeds.

Halima’s letter of apology states:

“I acknowledge the falsehoods I spread about you on social media and offer my deepest apologies. After much reflection, and seeking peace with God, I realize the harm and distress my words have caused.

I admit to making false accusations against you, which harmed you, your wife Dr. Mrs. Lizzy Suleman, your family, and leaders at Omega Fire Ministry.

I ask humbly for your forgiveness, though I know my apology cannot undo the harm I caused. I hope you may find it in your heart to forgive me, understanding that I was not in the right state of mind at that time. Sir, you have done much for humanity; I ask that you extend your forgiveness to me.

Once more, I am truly sorry for the hurt and distress I caused you, your family, and your ministry.

Thank you, and may Heaven bring you peace. God bless you, Sir.”
