Markus Dali, a resident of Sina Kwande in Michika Local Government Area, Adamawa State, trag!cally lost his l!fe while attempting to break up a fight between two individuals.
The incident occurred when Dali tried to intervene in a conflict between Barka Yama and Alex Z. Tari. According to reports, Barka allegedly struck Dali, causing him to lose consciousness. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Barka, 32, has been arrested and charged with culpable hom!cide under Section 191 of the Penal Code. During a hearing at a Yola magistrates’ court, the prosecuting officer, ASP Francis Audu, explained that Dali was fatally hit while trying to separate the two men.
Chief Magistrate Muhammed Njidda has ordered Barka to remain in custody at a correctional facility, awaiting legal advice from the Department of Public Prosecutions.
