Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface missed Bayer Leverkusen’s training on Monday, October 21, after being involved in a serious car accident over the weekend.
The crash occurred after Boniface’s standout performance in Leverkusen’s match against Frankfurt on Saturday, where he scored the winning goal. On his way to the airport to pick up friends after the game, the accident took place.
Thankfully, Bayer Leverkusen reported that Boniface only sustained two minor injuries to his left hand. However, it is still uncertain whether he will be fit for the upcoming Champions League match against Brest later in the week.
According to BILD, the striker may be given a short break to fully recover, which could delay his return to the pitch until the following weekend.
