Coma Survivor Reveals Astonishing Experience While He Was In Coma

After spending ten days in a coma, a man named Travis Shreeve shared his vivid experiences during that time. While working as an accountant, Shreeve gained weight during the pandemic due to his inactive lifestyle. Following a Covid infection, his health declined significantly, leading to an emergency room visit.

Travis was preparing to leave for a hospital appointment when he suddenly struggled to breathe and asked his wife to call an ambulance before collapsing in their hallway. He recalls only fragmented memories of the journey to the hospital before slipping into a coma.

During the coma, Travis felt intensely aware, believing that the medical staff were ignoring him and feeling that something was seriously wrong. “I was very aware of the nurses coming in,” he remembered, adding that they didn’t communicate with him, which heightened his anxiety. Speaking on the Prioritize Your Life podcast with Wesly Lapioli, he described the ten days as feeling like three months, and noted that it was incredibly terrifying. He recounted struggling intensely to breathe, reaching a point of exhaustion where he thought he might take his last breath.

In his exhausted state, Travis experienced what he described as being ‘elsewhere’—a serene, spotless place that felt profoundly different from Earth. He noted, “It was beautiful, it was white, it was clean,” emphasizing its flawless cleanliness, which made him forget his physical struggles.

You can listen to Travis’s incredible story in his own words here:

“I somehow knew there were two people present, though I didn’t see a shadow or hear anything,” Travis explained. He described encountering a woman he felt he knew and loved, who reassured him that “everything [was] going to be okay.”

On the podcast, he shared: “It felt like she communicated with me through some sort of downloaded information, indicating she intervened on my behalf—perhaps influencing a doctor’s decision or appealing to God. I’m not sure how, but I understood that she did intervene for me.”

Not long after, Travis found himself back in the hospital, feeling confident that the woman had “found a way out” for him. “One final time, I saw an image; it’s like I wasn’t fully permitted to remember it, but my family and a few others were present. She spoke to me once more, and it was my only moment of peace in the hospital. She said, ‘Everything is going to be okay, we will be whole again,’ and I felt something special about that.”
