A woman was stunned to find a stranger’s phone hidden in her home and was even more surprised by its contents after turning it on. Content creator Dee Crawford shared the bizarre discovery, revealing that her son, Grayson, had uncovered an old pink LG Shine phone tucked beneath the carpet on their stairs.
In a TikTok video, Dee explained that the phone had been cleverly concealed, and neither she, her husband, nor her son recognized it. Since they had lived in the house for nine years, they speculated it might have belonged to a previous resident.
When they powered on the phone, Dee was shocked by what she found. The device contained messages between its owner and a man named Atticus, which she described as “spicy,” implying a s*xual relationship.
Dee shared some of the provocative messages in a follow-up TikTok, sparking viewer speculation about the phone’s owner. Some thought it might belong to a millennial who would be mortified if the messages were exposed. One commenter suggested, “There is some elder millennial out there that is going to come across this video and absolutely panic.” Others speculated it might have been related to an affair involving the previous owner of the house.
As Dee continued to investigate the phone, she found more unsettling clues, including photos of a dog that looked like her own rescue dog, Clark. Determined to get to the bottom of the mystery, she contacted a contact saved as “ICE Mom” (In Case of Emergency).
After reassuring ICE Mom that it wasn’t a scam, Dee gathered more information. ICE Mom thought the phone might belong to her daughter, who had lived nearby. However, after reviewing the phone, the daughter denied owning it, suggesting it might belong to her sister, who had no interest in reclaiming it.
TikTok users have followed the mystery closely, with some expressing doubt. One viewer remarked, “That’s odd. I’d want my phone back and would want to know how it got there.” Another suggested the phone might have been stolen and its battery removed to prevent tracking.
In a final video, Dee revealed that someone had come forward, admitting they used to live nearby but didn’t want the phone back. “Unfortunately, the mystery remains unsolved,” Dee concluded.
