In a trag!c event in Bulawayo, a man named John Magu faced court after brvtally ass*ulting his wife, Melody Magagula, who caught him in an affair with his mistress.
The v!olent incident resulted in Magagula suffering severe injur!es and trag!cally m!scarrying.
The confrontation occurred when Magagula found her husband “in the act” with his mistress at her residence. When she confronted him, Magu became v!olent and att*cked her.
“I had to rush there and caught my husband red-handed in a room with his girlfriend. When I quizzed him about what he was doing, he turned v!olent and severely bashed me,” Magagula explained in court.
Following the ass*ult, both spouses applied for protection orders to prevent further abvse. Magagula mentioned that despite her husband’s continuous inf!delity, he frequently accuses her of being unfaithful.
Magu denied the accusations of physical abvse, claiming that his wife often becomes v!olent and is disrespectful. Despite their ongoing issues, Magu expressed his love for his wife and hopes for reconciliation.
The presiding magistrate, Challenge Mahembe, granted both parties five-year protection orders. Magu is forbidden from physically or verbally abusing his wife, while Magagula is barred from emotionally or physically harming her husband.
