Man K!dnaps and M*rders Female Trader to Escape Paying N40,000 Debt in Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested two men, Abubakar Ibrahim and Isah Ayuba, for the abd*ction and m*rder of Felicia Namkywa, a petty trader, in the Obi Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson DSP Ramhan Nansel stated on Sunday, October 13, that the main suspect, Abubakar, owed Felicia N40,000. He lured her under the pretense of selling her grains at a Fulani settlement.

Together with Isah, Abubakar abducted Felicia, took her deep into the forest, strangled her, and disposed of her b*dy in a swamp. The suspects also stole N555,000 that Felicia had with her.

“Abubakar Ibrahim and Isah Ayuba, both from Shember village of Agwatashi in Obi Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, were arrested by police detectives from the Obi Division following a thorough investigation into the trader’s disappearance.

Their arrest came after a report was made at the Obi Divisional Police Headquarters. Initial inquiries revealed that Abubakar, who owed her N40,000, tricked Felicia with a phone call, asking her to buy grains at a Fulani settlement without revealing his intentions.

“During interrogation, the suspects confessed to luring and abducting the victim, taking her deep into the forest where they strangled her and disposed of her body in a swamp. They also stole N555,000 that she had on her.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, instructed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the State Criminal Investigation Department to expedite the investigation and ensure the suspects are prosecuted.

He also expressed his condolences to the victim’s family, urging them to remain calm and assuring them that justice will be served.
