Anthony Joshua Drops to 7th as Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury Hold Top Spots in Latest Heavyweight Rankings

In the latest heavyweight rankings from Ring Magazine, Anthony Joshua has dropped to 7th place following his shocking loss to Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium on September 21.

Previously ranked third, Joshua had hoped to solidify his standing with a win, but after being knocked down four times, he suffered a major defeat. This has caused the former two-time world champion to fall to seventh place, while Dubois has surged ahead to take the second spot. Tyson Fury remains the top-ranked heavyweight, with unified champion Oleksandr Usyk holding the Ring Magazine champion title.

Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang have climbed to third and fourth places, respectively. Parker’s victory over Zhang in December 2023 and Zhang’s recent win over Deontay Wilder boosted both fighters’ standings. Agit Kabayel and Martin Bakole now occupy the fifth and sixth spots after notable victories over Frank Sanchez and Jared Anderson, respectively.

Joshua remains slightly ahead of Filip Hrgovic in the rankings, with Efe Ajagba and Justis Huni rounding out the top ten.

Joshua and Dubois are scheduled for a rematch on December 21, with Dubois potentially positioning himself for an undisputed title challenge, though a rematch with Joshua is also on the table.
