Recently released bodycam footage shows the dramatic capture of a massive 14-foot alligator in Florida, which contained the remains of a 41-year-old woman. Responders from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission quickly subdued the alligator upon arriving at the Largo canal location.
A voice urgently calls out to observe the alligator moments before it is shot. Local resident Jamarcus Bullard was the first to encounter the disturbing scene and immediately contacted 911 after seeing what looked like human remains in the alligator’s mouth.
Bullard reported observing a body part in the alligator’s grip and promptly alerted the authorities, who confirmed the grim discovery. The victim was identified as Sabrina Peckham, 41, a local resident who had been missing since the day before the incident in September last year. Examination of the nearly 14-foot-long alligator verified the presence of Peckham’s remains.
After her mother’s tragic death, the daughter responded to allegations suggesting her mother provoked the alligator. In a Facebook post, Breauana Dorris clarified that her mother was homeless and may have been walking near her campsite when the attack happened. She expressed her sorrow, mentioning their plans for more years together were cut short by her mother’s premature passing.
