Over two decades after 50 Cent released his iconic debut album “Get Rich or Die Tryin’” while donning a bullet-proof vest, the G-Unit leader is still making history. According to Billboard Boxscore, 50 Cent’s The Final Lap Tour has surpassed $100 million in earnings, making him only the second rapper to achieve this milestone. The “In Da Club” rapper’s 2023 global tour grossed $103.6 million, selling 1.05 million tickets across 83 shows in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.
Before 50 Cent joined the exclusive $100 million club, Drake was the only rapper to achieve this milestone with his last two tours: the It’s All A Blur Tour (2023-2024) and the Aubrey & the Three Migos Tour (2018).
Throughout his illustrious touring career, 50 Cent has grossed $150.3 million and sold 2.5 million tickets, ranking him eighth among the highest-grossing rap acts in Billboard Boxscore history. The most profitable stop on his Final Lap Tour earned $4.4 million from two shows (November 11 and November 23, 2023) at The O2 Arena in London.
Several other rappers may soon join 50 Cent and Drake in the $100 million club. Kendrick Lamar’s Big Steppers Tour grossed $85.4 million, although this figure doesn’t include 16 shows in Europe and Australia not reported to Boxscore. Jay-Z has participated in two tours that grossed over $100 million, but they are excluded as both (On The Run I and II) were co-headlined with his wife, Beyoncé.
Additionally, Travis Scott is poised to join the $100 million club this summer as his Circus Maximus Tour moves to Europe for a series of sold-out shows. He is currently close to the mark, with $95 million from the North American leg.
50 Cent isn’t the only rapper making touring history. Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 World Tour, reuniting her with the Barbz in “Gag City,” has been highly profitable, grossing $67 million and selling 439,000 tickets. This makes it the highest-grossing and best-selling rap tour by a woman in Boxscore history — and the tour isn’t even finished yet.
