Woman Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for St*bbing Her Husband’s Side Chic

A Zimbabwean woman, Stacey Mkandla, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for fatally st*bbing her husband’s mistress after discovering the two together in her marital bed earlier this year.

The 34-year-old was notified by neighbors while attending an all-night church service and rushed home around 4 a.m., only to find her husband, Tafadzwa Emmanuel Munyoro, in bed with his lover, Brightness Phiri.

According to Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, Mkandla had left for the prayer session the previous evening, leaving her husband alone. Upon uncovering the affair, a chaotic confrontation ensued, during which Phiri attempted to escape while n*ked but ultimately succumbed to injuries inflicted by Mkandla.

Following the v!olent incident, Mkandla turned herself in at Nehanda Police Station without resistance.

In court, Public Prosecutor Clemence Chimbari outlined how Mkandla used a sharp object to stab Phiri, targeting vulnerable areas such as her eyes and chest, suggesting intent to inflict fatal harm.

Mkandla’s attorney, Esau Mandipa, requested a lenient sentence, citing “extreme provocation” and claiming Mkandla acted out of heightened emotional distress after Phiri fought back. Despite these arguments, the court sentenced Mkandla to 10 years in prison for the f*tal attack.
