A disturbing video has emerged showing a killer whale at SeaWorld defecating in the water before seemingly splashing the feces toward spectators. Visitors seated in the splash zone during an orca show at SeaWorld San Antonio, Texas, were caught off guard when the whale leapt out of the water, landing near them and sending the feces flying.
The incident shocked guests, including Samantha King. “It was shocking,” she told Times Now World. “We knew we’d get wet sitting so close, but not like that. The smell was awful, and people were gagging.”
The footage shows the whale defecating near the water’s surface, visible through a glass panel, before jumping into the air and landing beside the feces, which splashed onto the crowd.
A young boy, visibly disgusted, turned to the camera, appearing traumatized after being soaked. The video quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions.
On Twitter, one user commented, “The whale knows. It’s trying to tell everyone it’s tired of performing.” Another wrote, “All orcas should be in the wild,” while a third noted, “Orcas are very intelligent. It knew exactly what it was doing.” According to Orca Torch, orcas have an IQ similar to that of a 15 or 16-year-old human, with brains weighing up to 15 pounds.
Some found the situation humorous, with one user calling it “the ultimate troll” and another commenting, “Lol. that boy looks horrified.” Someone else quipped, “This is the most San Antonio thing I’ve ever seen.”
Those splashed with feces were reportedly taken to a decontamination area where they received soap, towels, and bottled water. SeaWorld issued a statement apologizing for the incident, stating that they were taking steps to ensure guest safety and reviewing procedures to prevent future occurrences.
