“They Focused on the Apology, Ignoring the Rest of the Message” – Filmmaker Mike Bamiloye Defends Pastor Adeboye After Tithe Apology

Filmmaker and evangelist Mike Bamiloye has come to the defense of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, amidst recent controversy regarding Adeboye’s comments on tithing.

In a social media post, Bamiloye addressed the backlash following Pastor Adeboye’s apology for a previous statement in which he claimed that those who don’t pay tithes might not make it to heaven. Adeboye later clarified that this statement was not biblically accurate.

Bamiloye commended Adeboye’s humility in admitting his mistake, emphasizing that his apology was a result of divine correction. He praised Adeboye for publicly acknowledging the error, noting that it requires immense humility for a leader of his stature to obey God’s guidance in such a way. Bamiloye urged believers to focus on the spiritual lesson rather than criticize the apology.

Quoting 1 Corinthians 2:14, Bamiloye pointed out that spiritual matters are often misunderstood by those lacking faith, stating, “It is beyond their reasoning.” He encouraged Christians, especially those anticipating Christ’s return, to reflect on the importance of giving without limiting it to 10%, as Adeboye suggested.

Bamiloye also called on other men of God to learn from Adeboye’s example, urging them to correct any public statements or actions as necessary and to prioritize salvation and humility over pride.

He wrote:

“IT WAS THE APOLOGY THEY HEARD, THEY IGNORED THE REMAINING PART OF THE MESSAGE:

Let me refresh you!

MY FATHER, DADDY E.A. ADEBOYE ALSO SAID:

‘It is wrong to limit you to 10%. At a time when some of you should be at 20%, 30%, or 40%. 10% should be for beginners. If you want to be at the top, controlling finances, you must go far beyond 10%.’

I NEVER EXPECT THE CHILDREN OF THIS WORLD TO UNDERSTAND THE PRINCIPLES OF THE KINGDOM. It is beyond their reasoning.

1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV:

‘But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.’

If you are a Child of the Kingdom of God, preparing for Heaven and anticipating the Coming of Jesus Christ, I DO NOT expect you to have issues with what Baba said. IF YOU STILL DO, then your spiritual sanctification is questionable.

Prophet Samuel made a mistake when sent to anoint a son of Jesse as king. He looked at the firstborn and thought, ‘Behold, the Lord’s anointed is here.’ The Lord said, ‘No, I have not chosen this one!’ All the sons Prophet Samuel thought were chosen were rejected by God until David came, and God said, ‘Arise, and anoint him.’

Daddy E.A. Adeboye made a statement, and the Lord CORRECTED HIM before he publicly acknowledged his mistake. It takes a person with a focus on Heaven and eternity to deem it important to apologize in such a manner.

If you wish to mock him or belittle his obedience to God’s instruction, remember: BABA HAS HEAVEN IN HIS FOCUS, and that’s why he disregards earthly honor or human ego. It takes great humility for someone of his global stature to apologize publicly.

My Father has gained more grace from God for his humility in this act.

Have I said anything publicly that the Lord has corrected me about privately? I will be accountable before God unless I make an open correction.

MEN OF GOD! Preachers and Servants of the Most High!

What have you said openly that the Lord has corrected in secret? What actions have you taken publicly that the Lord has addressed privately? What restitution has the Lord instructed you to make that your pride and ego are preventing you from fulfilling?

If you serve the Lord with fear and trembling, eagerly seeking to reach Heaven peacefully, GO AND DO WHAT THE LORD TOLD YOU! If He has asked you to make a public apology or confession, you must act on it before it’s too late.

GETTING TO HEAVEN IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR PRIDE AND EGO!”
