The Walking Dead Actor Honors His ‘Best TV Buddy Ever’ After Co-Star Dies

The cast of ‘The Walking Dead’ are paying tribute to the show’s cherished dog, Seven. The AMC series, which ended in 2022, announced the passing of Seven, the Belgian shepherd who played Daryl’s dog, Dog. A social media tribute praised Seven as the “best boy,” leading to heartfelt messages from cast members.

Norman Reedus (Daryl) shared his grief on Instagram, posting photos and a broken-heart emoji, and calling Seven the “Best TV buddy ever.” Khary Payton (Ezekiel) and Lynn Collins (Leah) also honored Seven in their commemorations.

Angela Kang, the former showrunner of the series, also shared her sadness by reposting the original announcement with a crying-face emoji.

Seven made his debut in season nine of ‘The Walking Dead’ and appeared in a total of 25 episodes.

In a 2018 interview with ComicBook.com, Reedus reminisced about working with Seven, mentioning that an unexpected change in a scene due to Seven’s spontaneous actions led to a better result than originally planned.

Reedus humorously suggested that Seven might end up leading the show, expressing his fondness for the dog. ‘The Walking Dead’ wrapped up its 11-season run in 2022.

To date, there have been six spin-offs, including ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City,’ which focuses on Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). The newest spin-off, ‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live,’ reunites Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) and is available for streaming in the UK on NOW.

In this spin-off, Rick and Michonne are shown still searching for each other after a long separation that began with Lincoln’s departure in season nine. Lincoln is also remembered for his role as Mark in ‘Love Actually,’ where he famously confessed his love for Juliet (Keira Knightley) using cue cards.
