Justin Bieber’s Security Checked His Pulse Nightly Before Life-Changing Decision

Justin Bieber recently shared that his security team used to check his pulse at night before he made the pivotal decision to get sober. The singer, who has openly discussed his struggles with add!ction, revealed the intense moments leading up to his life-changing choice to quit drvgs.

In his docuseries Justin Bieber: Seasons, Bieber recounted how dire his situation had become, with security regularly entering his room at night to ensure he was still alive. “My security and stuff were coming into the room at night to check my pulse—people don’t know how serious it got; it was legit crazy scary,” Bieber explained.

At the age of 30, Bieber got sober and met his wife, Hailey, with whom he now has a child. Hailey shared that their relationship really took shape after Justin decided to distance himself from drvgs and turn his life around.

Reflecting on his journey, Bieber described the turning point when he made a personal plea. “I basically said to myself, ‘God, if you’re real, help me get through this season of stopping these pills, and if you do, I’ll do the rest of the work.’ After that, I was good,” he said.

Despite getting clean, Bieber admitted he hadn’t initially addressed the deeper issues that led to his substance abuse. “I got off the pills, but I never dealt with the root of the problem,” he confessed.

In a Vogue interview, Bieber further explained how drugs had distanced him from reality. “Drugs put a screen between me and what I was doing. It got pretty dark. There were times when my security would come in late at night just to check if I was still breathing.”
