The Akwa Ibom State government has announced the passing of Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of Governor Pastor Umo Eno.
In a statement released this morning, September 27, by the State Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, it was revealed that Mrs. Eno died after a yet undisclosed illness.
Ememobong’s statement, titled “Unexpected Sunset,” reads:
“It is with heavy hearts that we (Akwa Ibom Government) announce the passing of Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, the wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, after an illness.
She passed away peacefully at the hospital on September 26, 2024, surrounded by her family. The family submits to the will of the Almighty and requests prayers and support from kind-hearted individuals during this difficult time.
Further details will be provided by the family as necessary. In the meantime, they kindly ask for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.
His Excellency, Governor Pastor Umo Eno, expresses gratitude to all who have supported the first family during this time and assures citizens that, despite this profound personal loss, his commitment to serving the state remains unwavering.”
