VeryDarkMan Apologizes to Femi Falana Over Bribery Allegations
VeryDarkMan has issued an apology to human rights lawyer Femi Falana, SAN, regarding bribery allegations made against the senior attorney.
This follows threats of legal action from Falz and his father, Femi Falana, who intended to sue VDM for defamation after the social critic shared an audio recording allegedly featuring a conversation between Bobrisky and another individual. In the recording, it was claimed that Falana was assisting Bobrisky in securing a presidential pardon and had requested 10 million Naira for his efforts.
During his appearance before the House of Representatives Joint Committee on Financial Crimes and Reformatory Institutions on Monday, VeryDarkMan stated that he did not believe Falana was implicated in the alleged bribery involving Bobrisky, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, and the Nigeria Correctional Service. He subsequently apologized to Femi Falana for the harm caused to his reputation.
This follows his recent appeal to Femi Falana’s son, Falz, urging him to withdraw the lawsuit he filed against him and collaborate in the fight against corruption in Nigeria.
