During his flight from Spain to England, the man enjoyed admiring the breathtaking beauty of nature outside his window. However, his attention was drawn to an unusual object that puzzled him, and he became uncertain about its true nature.
The object appeared suspicious to him, prompting him to take a photograph of it.
The man was unsure about the identity of the object and sought another person’s opinion before making any conclusions. After his journey, he shared the pictures of the mysterious pole on a social media platform and requested other users in the same area to help identify it.
Complicating matters, he mentioned that he was traveling over the sea, so the object shouldn’t have been in a wetland. Some users joked that it could be a UFO, while others suggested it might be a beacon from an oil rig.

The post served its purpose when one person was able to identify the object. The man learned that the thin line he saw was actually a part of the 961-foot tall mast located at the nearby Mendip Transmitting Station, situated on the summit of Pen Hill in Somerset.
The mast is among the tallest structures utilized for broadcasting digital television and radio in the southwest region of England.
